Your job
Support the development of Statista’s Research AI tool, helping users access our data through innovative AI-powered features.
Assist in implementing a modern web application using Remix.js (React-based), working closely with our UX/UI designers and front-end developers.
Learn how to develop a large-scale user-facing application with cutting edge front-end technologies like Remix.js, Tailwind CSS, and TypeScript.
Contribute your own ideas in brainstorming sessions on design and usability topics.
Help test, debug, and maintain front-end features in a collaborative, agile environment.
Gain experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and tools used in professional frontend workflows.
Work closely with senior developers, product managers, and QA to understand the full lifecycle of a product used by millions.
Your skills
I am currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Some experience with React and/or modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., through personal projects, university work, or internships).
I am familiar with or eager to learn Remix.js, Tailwind CSS, and TypeScript.
Enthusiastic about clean code, usability, and modern front-end architectures.
A team player who enjoys learning and contributing to real-world projects.
I am curious, proactive, and eager to work in a dynamic international tech environment.
Good English communication skills; German is a plus but not required.

The Research AI Team is the newest addition to Statista’s IT department, fostering a startup-like atmosphere with young and motivated people. Our focus revolves around the development and enhancement of ‘Research AI’, a cutting-edge RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) system. This innovative tool empowers our users with swift and reliable insights across Statista's vast content landscape.
As a compact yet agile team we shoulder the responsibilities of designing, constructing, refining, hosting, and maintaining Research AI. Our ongoing efforts are directed towards enhancing the tool’s reliability, speed, and cost-effectiveness. The ultimate objective is to seamlessly integrate Research AI into the daily interactions of most of our platform users.
