SUMMARYWe are seeking a motivated and technically proficient individual to support the deployment and scaling of AI solutions in the Tricity area across Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh. The role demands hands-on support in AI implementation, strategic planning, and close coordination with state nodal officers and health departments. With a team of over 200 professionals, our expertise encompasses AI/ML research and innovation, software engineering, domain knowledge, design and user research.In the Press:Our Founder Donors are among the Top 100 AI InfluencersG20 India’s Presidency: AI Healthcare, Agriculture, & Education Solutions Showcased Globally.Unlocking the potentials of AI in Public HealthWadhwani AI Takes an Impact-First Approach to Applying Artificial Intelligence - data.orgWinner of the H&M Foundation Global Change Award 2022Indian Winners of the 2019 Google AI Impact Challenge, and the first in the Asia Pacific to host Google FellowsCultures page of Wadhwani AI - https://www.wadhwaniai.org/culture/ ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIESState Coordination & Technical AssistanceProvide on-ground technical and strategic support to state health departments across Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh for AI solution deployment.Liaise with Government and other stakeholders including relevant line departments for effective implementation and scale-up.Offer hands-on troubleshooting, guidance, and support during live AI solution use.Strategic Planning & Ecosystem BuildingAssist in developing district and state-level implementation roadmaps.Foster cross-departmental collaboration to enable an AI-friendly health ecosystem.Identify and mitigate operational challenges in coordination with key stakeholders.Monitoring, Evaluation & LearningCollaborate with the MEL team to track project indicators, ensure real-time data usage, and support adaptive learning.Develop reports to routinely evaluate implementation progress.Establish and maintain a regular review system with states.Documentation and ReportingDocument key milestones, outcomes, learnings, and challenges from deployment activities.Draft technical briefs, prepare state-specific reports, and present updates to internal and external stakeholders.Capacity BuildingConduct training sessions, workshops, and digital literacy programs for government staff and healthcare workers.Support development of SOPs, user manuals, and e-learning content.Representation and AdvocacyRepresent Wadhwani AI at relevant state and national forums.Advocate for evidence-based AI applications in public health decision-making. REQUIREMENTSBachelor’s degree in any discipline, along with a Master’s degree in Public Health (MPH), Health Management, Community Medicine, or a related field.2–5 years of experience in public health, preferably working within government health systems. Prior involvement in digital health or AI-based initiatives will be considered an asset.In-depth understanding of ground realities and implementation challenges in Comprehensive Primary Health Care, including key focus areas such as NCDs, IDSP, CPHC, and Quality of Care. Experience in MNCH and TB-HIV programs will be advantageous.Health System Familiarity: Strong grasp of the Indian healthcare ecosystem, especially the Ayushman Bharat initiative and National Health Mission (NHM) policies and operations.Familiarity with digital health tools and platforms used in public health programs.
