You:
The Principal Total Rewards will be a key architect in shaping the future of our people strategy, designing and delivering impactful total rewards programs that empower and inspire our workforce. This role is more than just compensation - it’s about creating meaningful rewards that recognize contributions, drive performance, and fuel our organization’s success. As a trusted expert in compensation analytics, executive rewards, salary structures, and sales incentive plans, you will ensure our approach is competitive, equitable, and future-focused.
Your day to day:
Strategic Total Rewards Ownership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive global total rewards strategy that balances scalability, competitiveness, and financial sustainability.
- Partner with People Partners and Talent Development to ensure our rewards programs reinforce career growth, performance management, and leadership development.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, influencing strategic decisions around compensation, equity, and rewards.
- Lead compensation programs that foster a culture of recognition, motivation, and high performance across a global workforce.
Compensation Analytics & Benchmarking
- Conduct global and regional market benchmarking, ensuring our pay structures remain competitive across diverse locations.
- Utilize compensation analytics and data modeling to assess the effectiveness of pay strategies and identify areas for improvement.
- Lead the evaluation of internal pay equity, ensuring compliance with regulations such as US federal and state pay transparency laws, EU directives, and global equity policies.
Executive Compensation & Governance
- Design and oversee executive compensation programs, including base salary, short-term and long-term incentives, and equity structures.
- Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and external advisors to ensure compliance with SEC, IRS, and other regulatory requirements for executive pay.
- Support Compensation Committee and Board-level discussions by providing insights, benchmarking data, and recommendations.
Global Job Architecture & Salary Structures
- Develop and maintain a scalable global job architecture, ensuring role clarity, progression paths, and fair pay structures.
- Establish and manage salary banding and job leveling frameworks that support a rapidly scaling global organization.
- Partner with People Team and Business Leaders to ensure compensation programs are adaptable to local market conditions while maintaining global consistency.
Compliance, Communication & Stakeholder Management
- Ensure all total rewards programs comply with global and regional regulations, including US wage laws, EU pay transparency directives, and GDPR compliance.
- Drive total rewards transparency, crafting effective communication strategies to help employees understand and value their rewards.
- Partner with Finance to ensure cost modeling, budgeting, and forecasting for compensation and benefits programs.
You have & you know-how:
- 10+ years of progressive experience in Total Rewards, Compensation & Benefits, with expertise in analytics, executive compensation, and incentive design.
- Experience in scaled, global organizations - you’ve led compensation and rewards strategies in large, multinational companies.
- Strong understanding of the US compensation market, including job leveling, pay bands, incentive structures, and compliance with US wage and labor laws.
- Prior experience designing compensation structures in Europe, APAC, and emerging markets is a plus.
- Deep expertise in sales incentive compensation, particularly in high-growth, global environments.
- Experience designing and presenting executive compensation models, including stock options, equity grants, and bonus structures.
