MontyCloud is seeking a seasoned Principal Platform Engineer to lead the development of our scalable, cloud-native SaaS platform. This role is based in Bangalore, offers an opportunity to architect and implement innovative solutions that simplify cloud adoption for businesses.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

• 12–15 years of software development experience, with a focus on SaaS platforms and AWS cloud technologies.

• Proven expertise in designing and building scalable, performant, and resilient systems.

• Demonstrated experience with serverless architecture, event-driven design, distributed systems, and event streams.

• Hands-on experience with services like Kafka, OpenSearch/ElasticSearch, AWS Kinesis, and Azure Streams.

• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Go.

• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Leadership experience with the ability to mentor and inspire engineering teams.

• Experience in building AI/ML systems and familiarity with Large Language Models is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of MontyCloud's Cloud Management Platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system architecture and develop innovative solutions.

• Utilize AWS and other cloud technologies to build and maintain cloud-native components and services.

• Mentor engineering team members, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.

• Drive the adoption of best practices, design patterns, and emerging technologies in the cloud domain.

• Participate in code and design reviews, providing constructive feedback.

• Ensure high-quality software delivery by implementing effective development processes.

• Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
