The role

As Operational Architect you are responsible for specifying the customer needs for one of Helsing’s programmes that will determine the success of the land forces. 

As part of our team, you will directly participate in our work with industry partners, procurement agencies and land forces. You will take a central role in creating complex systems that deliver answers to the challenges of tomorrows battlefield. Your work will include but will not be limited to deeply understanding customer demands and modern technologies with a focus on land defence systems. 

We have assembled a distinctive partnerships-and-programmes team across various fields of expertise and backgrounds. Together we lift ambitions and shape the thinking of our industry partners and customers on software and AI in defence, national security, and intelligence. You will work with and learn from leading experts to build lasting industry and customer relationships.

The day-to-day

• Working closely with the delivery teams at the intersection between operational needs and technical delivery within Helsing requires strategic oversight, while maintaining tight control over the day-to-day project work. In this role, you are responsible for gathering customers needs and provide information into the production pipeline.

• Capturing and processing gathered requirements and user stories in using model-based approaches as the ‘customer’ – interface to the rest of the team

• Develop process models, information flow diagrams, Requirement catalogues to specify solutions for customers; giving inputs to the rest of the organization

• Presentation of your work to the wider function as a subject matter expert

You should apply if you have

• Interest in working on solutions and systems in military environments

• Experience in working with one of the following tools SPARX Enterprise Architect, Cameo Systems Modeler oder Archi, sowie NAFv4 and ADMBw are beneficial

• Experiences in the field of System Engineering, Requirements Engineering

• Strong experience as a Operational Architect / Enterprise Architect within the defense industry – focus land systems

• A university degree in Information technology, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field 

• Business fluency in German and English
