We’re looking for a Manager, Advertising Data Science & Insights to join Team Snapchat!
What you’ll do
Build and manage an experienced team of data scientists and analysts aimed at distinguishing Snap from other ad platforms, enabling sales initiatives, and growing advertiser success through the combination of compelling insights, technical capabilities, strategic data analysis, and fast paced execution.
Establish a positive, mutually supportive, and inclusive team environment where each team member can generate outsize impact.
Responsible for ongoing team member development and growth, providing continuous growth-oriented development feedback.
Work cross-functionally and partner with sales leaders, data science teams, product marketing teams, and researchers to solve problems, and conduct analytics to support deep advertiser understanding for sales enablement and advertiser success.
Create and lead in-depth analysis and drive cross-functional, high impact data projects, asking the right questions, testing hypotheses, identifying patterns and providing the necessary business context to translate data findings into actionable insights.
Build data-driven sales narratives grounded in rigorous data insights and analytics, partnering closely with sales leadership and product teams to support advertiser success.
Lead the development & promotion of data insights with leadership that level up sales efforts and in-market strategies throughout the sales organization.
Develop & oversee an effective analytics roadmap, managing cross-functional priorities and ensuring timely delivery of high-caliber work.
Provide strategic direction, project clarity, methodological consultation and deliver results both individually and through managing a high performing team.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Experience in applied data analytics and statistical analytics, including insights generation, experimentation, and statistical measurement.
Expertise in data workflows and pipelines, and leading a team responsible for data capture, measurement, and optimization capability management.
Expertise using SQL and Python.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with high attention to detail.
Experience working in a sales-facing data role, developing analytics for use in client growth.
Experience developing in-market insights and data-driven, sales-facing materials.
Ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance.
Ability to balance practical business needs and scientific rigor.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as math, statistics, economics, and computer science, or equivalent years of experience.
7+ years of experience in data science or analytics doing quantitative analysis and insights generation at a technology company.
3+ years experience in a leadership role within a data organization.
Preferred qualifications
Advanced degree in a quantitative field (Economics, Computer Science, Physics).
Prior experience working in digital ads or monetization.
Experience forming partnerships with cross-functional leaders in sales, marketing, product, research, etc.
Proven track record in transforming data into meaningful insights and opportunities to drive growth and performance.

Compensation
In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.
The base salary range for this position is $229,000-$343,000 annually.The base salary range for this position is $218,000-$326,000 annually.Zone C:
The base salary range for this position is $195,000-$292,000 annually.This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
