About the Role

The Industrial Buyer plays a crucial role in managing the procurement of goods and services essential to the production and smooth operation of an industrial company. He is responsible for selecting, negotiating, and purchasing raw materials, products, equipment, and services, ensuring strict compliance with deadlines, quality standards, and budget constraints. Your strategic approach to procurement will directly contribute to the success of our autonomous defense systems.

Responsibilities

• Needs Assessment: Collaborate with internal teams (R&D, manufacturing, etc.) to analyze procurement needs and define technical specifications for required products and services.

• Supplier Sourcing & Evaluation: Identify, assess, and select potential suppliers or contractors, based on technical, quality, and financial criteria.

• Contract Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, delivery timelines and payment terms and formalize contractual agreements, ensuring legal and ethical compliance.

• Supplier Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor and evaluate supplier performance regarding quality, punctuality, and responsiveness, implementing corrective actions when necessary.

• Supply Chain Optimization: Track orders, manage inventory levels, and anticipate material needs to prevent shortages or overstock.

• Risk Management: Assess and mitigate supply chain risks, including potential disruptions, raw material price fluctuations, and geopolitical uncertainties. Develop diversification strategies and contingency plans when needed.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, manufacturing, quality assurance, logistics, and finance teams to align procurement strategies with company objectives.

• Budget Management & Reporting: Monitor procurement budgets and prepare reports on cost-saving initiatives and supplier performance for management.

• Development of strategic partnerships: Establish and maintain long-term relationships with key suppliers or contractors to ensure a stable supply chain and foster innovation.

• Contract and dispute resolution: Ensure compliance with contractual agreements and manage disputes with suppliers when necessary.
  

Candidate Requirements

• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of industrial processes, materials used in drone manufacturing, and aeronautical sector requirements.

• Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate advantageous contracts while establishing lasting relationships with suppliers or contractors.

• IT Proficiency: Proficient in using procurement management software and ERP systems.

• Languages: Fluent in French and English; knowledge of German is a plus.

• Educational Background: Higher education in procurement, engineering, or management with a specialization in industrial purchasing.

• Background: Significant experience as an industrial buyer, ideally in the aeronautical or automotive sector or high-tech industries.

• Strong team-player mindset, organizational and proactive problem-solving skills.
