We are seeking a visionary and technically hands-on Head of AI to lead our artificial intelligence efforts and drive next-generation innovation across our AI/ML initiatives. As the Head of AI, you will be responsible for designing, building, and scaling cutting-edge AI solutions that directly impact our core products and services. You will lead a team of high-performing data scientists and machine learning engineers while remaining actively involved in hands-on development, research, and experimentation.

Your deep understanding of machine learning, Python, and PyTorch will be critical as you lead the exploration and implementation of complex AI models, including but not limited to deep learning, computer vision, natural language processing, and reinforcement learning.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• AI Strategy & Vision: Define and lead the overall AI strategy aligned with the company’s business goals and long-term vision.
• Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a high-impact team of AI/ML engineers and researchers.
• Hands-on Development: Design and implement state-of-the-art AI/ML models using Python and PyTorch. Stay involved in coding, research, and model deployment.
• Product Innovation: Work closely with product, engineering, and design teams to embed AI capabilities into products and customer experiences.
• Research & Experimentation: Stay ahead of AI trends and academic research. Prototype and test novel algorithms to solve challenging real-world problems.
• AI Infrastructure: Oversee the development and maintenance of the infrastructure necessary for training, serving, and monitoring machine learning models at scale.
• Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to identify AI opportunities, scope projects, and drive measurable outcomes.
• Model Governance & Ethics: Champion responsible AI principles, ensuring that models are interpretable, secure, fair, and compliant with data privacy regulations.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 7+ years of experience in AI/ML, with a proven track record of building and deploying large-scale machine learning systems.
• Expert proficiency in Python, with deep experience using PyTorch for developing and training deep learning models.
• Strong understanding of machine learning fundamentals, deep learning architectures (CNNs, RNNs, Transformers), and statistical modeling.
• Experience building and scaling AI platforms and services in production environments.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing high-performing technical teams.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD preferred) in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.
