Overview

At Tractable, we're revolutionizing the auto ecosystem with our cutting-edge AI. We've built a centralized platform of shared AI capabilities, design frameworks, components, and software modules that serve a diverse range of customers, from insurers to repairers and auto recyclers. Design is a strategic pillar for 2024 and beyond, and we're building a dynamic team of doers to shape how AI and computer vision are applied across various environments and use cases.

Key Responsibilities

As a Designer, you'll play a crucial role in expanding and refining our core platform's design framework and component library. You'll be responsible for ensuring our designs are coherent, modular, and effectively meet the needs of all our customers within the auto ecosystem.

Specifically, you'll focus on:

Platform Design Contribution

• Contribute to the evolution of our centralized design framework and component library, ensuring they are scalable and adaptable for diverse customer needs.
• Design and expand components and modules to support the full range of users across the auto ecosystem.
• Maintain design consistency and modularity across the platform, aligning with our overall design strategy.

Collaborative Problem Solving

• Work closely with Product & Design and Customer Success teams to understand user problems and translate them into effective design solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering and research teams to ensure seamless execution of design concepts.

User-Centered Design

• Participate in user research and discovery activities to gather insights and validate design decisions.
• Contribute to the integration of user needs and customer feedback into our platform experiences.
• Participate in product development teams to understand requirements, and iterate on creative, thoughtful solutions.

Design Communication

• Effectively communicate design concepts and rationale through sketches, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.
• Present and articulate design decisions to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Design Advocacy

• Support and advocate for design best practices within Tractable.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in product design, ideally within a SaaS or technology company.
• Experience working on design systems or component libraries.
• Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and practices.
• Experience collaborating with product managers, engineers, and researchers.
• Ability to translate complex requirements into clear and intuitive designs.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• A portfolio showcasing your design process and problem-solving abilities.
• A mindset to learn, and grow your skills.
