Job Opportunity – Artificial Intelligence (AI) Developer with VEGA Americas in Mason, OH, 45036

The Artificial Intelligence (AI) Developer will be responsible for supporting the full lifecycle of AI projects from data collection and preprocessing to model training and deployment. This position will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining process optimization, efficiency gains, and innovation through the strategic implementation of AI technologies. The employee must be passionate about AI and curious and competent across a broader range of technologies like databases, Git, Docker, and more.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML models and data pipelines.
  • Collect, clean, and preprocess structured and unstructured datasets to support analysis.
  • Train, evaluate, fine-tune and optimize machine learning models to ensure high performance and accuracy.
  • Deploy machine learning models into production environments and monitor and maintain its performance.
  • Collaborate with data analysts, product owners, DevOps engineers, and other stakeholders to align AI solutions with project objectives.
  • Contribute to project documentation and maintain well-structured code and well documented codebases.
  • Follow best practices in version control and containerization (Git, Docker) to ensure reproducibility and scalability.
  • Research, explore and integrate non-AI technologies where necessary to support and enhance project goals and outcomes.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in IT from four-year college or university or related field
  • AND two years related experience and/or training,
  • OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven experience in designing and deploying AI/ML models and pipelines.
  • Proficiency in data processing, cleaning, and feature engineering for both structured and unstructured data.
  • Strong knowledge of machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) for model deployment is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of version control systems (Git) and containerization tools (Docker).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
