CCG's Software and AI (SAI) organization is seeking an experienced and highly motivated world-class software developer to join us and optimize open source AI frameworks, libraries and models on Intel accelerators. In this role, you will have opportunity to democratize AI by working with hundreds of thousands smart developers in open ecosystem and make a big technical impact in open source AI frameworks and libraries such as OpenVINO, ONNX Runtime, PyTorch etc.

 

Our team focuses on the architecture, design, development, integration, and validation of AI framework features that optimizes the power/ performance of deep learning workloads that run on client platforms. You will become part of a high-performing, agile team of architects, developers, test automation engineers, and validation specialists who are dedicated to delivering the highest quality in Intel products.

 

What You'll Be Doing

  • Designing, developing, and optimizing AI software with a focus on contributing to open-source deep learning frameworks like OpenVINO and ONNX Runtime, PyTorch
  • Design and develop features to get Intel accelerators CPUs/GPUs/NPUs optimized in open-source AI frameworks.
  • Enabling and optimizing AI models on Intel accelerators.
  • Explore and expand the boundary of innovative technologies for peak performance.

 

You’ll be expected to:

  • Collaborate with development teams to design, implement, and validate AI algorithms and models.
  • Support the development and refinement of AI applications, tools, and frameworks.
  • Conduct research on emerging AI technologies and assess their applicability in open-source environments.
  • Participate in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting efforts to enhance performance and reliability of AI systems.
  • Maintain AI algorithms, core software components, and associated documentation.
  • Stay current on the latest advancements in AI frameworks, tools, and methodologies to continuously improve development practices.

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer science, engineering, or a related field with a strong focus on AI and machine learning with 3+ years experience
  • OR Master's degree in degree in Computer science, engineering, or a related field with a strong focus on AI and machine learning with 2+ years experience
  • Strong programming skills in C, C++, and Python and libraries like PyTorch, TensorFlow, ONNX Runtime, and OpenVINO
  • Familiar with AI frameworks
  • Experience with designing software architecture, interfaces and abstraction



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background with deep learning fundamentals, AI frameworks, graph compilers, etc.
  • Solid understanding of AI concepts, algorithms, and methodologies.
  • Experience in developing/optimizing deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch , TensorFlow, ONNX Runtime, OpenVINO etc.
  • Familiarity with enabling or optimizing  LLM and Generative AI workloads
  • Track record of maintaining or contributing to open source projects.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US:

$149,750.00-$211,420.00

Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. * Job posting details (such as work model, location or time type) are subject to change.
