About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Storage Resident Engineer with expertise in PowerMax storage solutions to provide on-site support, technical expertise, and management of storage infrastructure. The ideal candidate will act as a trusted advisor to our client, ensuring the seamless operation and optimization of their storage environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Storage Management:
• Provide day-to-day management and administration of PowerMax storage systems.
• Monitor and maintain storage performance, capacity, and availability.
• Perform upgrades, patching, and firmware updates as needed.
2. Technical Support:
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to PowerMax and associated storage infrastructure.
• Collaborate with vendors for hardware replacements and advanced technical support.
3. Implementation and Optimization:
• Assist in the design, implementation, and configuration of storage solutions.
• Ensure optimal performance of storage systems through proactive tuning and maintenance.
4. Customer Engagement:
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for the client’s storage environment.
• Provide regular updates and documentation, including reports on performance and system health.
5. Compliance and Best Practices:
• Ensure adherence to industry best practices and organizational standards for data security and storage management.
• Conduct risk assessments and recommend solutions to mitigate potential issues.

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

• Technical Expertise:
• Proven experience with Dell EMC PowerMax storage solutions.
• Strong understanding of SAN, NAS, and backup solutions.
• Experience:
• Minimum 3 years of experience in storage infrastructure management.
• Familiarity with related technologies like VMware, Linux/Unix, and Windows environments.
• Certifications (Preferred):
• Dell EMC certifications (e.g., Dell EMC Expert – PowerMax and VMAX).
• ITIL or similar certifications.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and client-facing abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
