The Operations Excellence team is looking for a Senior Document Control Manager with experience in fast-paced operations and/or program or project management. In this position, you will work in collaboration with the Operations Excellence team and cross-functional stakeholders to support and help drive the roll out of Quality Management System (QMS) initiatives and a tech-forward document Document Management System (DMS) and associated processes.
Responsibilities
- Define, develop and implement an internal documentation auditing strategy to ensure accurate documentation content, efficient change management processes, and regulatory compliance
- Work with technical writers and cross-functional partners to drive documentation updates and publication according to schedule
- Develop and maintain department SOPs related to the quality system, document control, and the internal document audit process
- Co-business owner of the electronic Document Management System, including onboarding, implementation, maintenance, and issue support and resolution
- Actively create and program manage document lifecycle processes, including templates, document creation, revision control, document retirement, and approvals processes — be the operation’s “super-user” of a document management system
- Partner to drive the implementation of mission-critical documentation procedures to be used by frontline teams across geographies and by operations teams with diverse, sometimes conflicting priorities
- Coordinate with other document owners to ensure standardization and alignment of key operations procedures
- Facilitate cross-functional coordination of complex operations documentation process issues
- Lead the creation and life cycle of key source-of-truth documents and continuously update to reflect advancements in operations
- Continuously assess opportunities for improvement and lead improvement initiatives
Job Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to lead documentation management, project management, operations process development, or quality program development
- Experience owning the development and integration of new processes at a fast-paced company
- BA/BS or equivalent years of experience
- Excellent written/verbal communication and ability to effectively distill complex concepts into high-quality communications to diverse audiences
- Impeccable attention to detail and an independent, proactive work ethic to diffuse issues before they become problems
- Continuous improvement approach with a bias toward proactive process improvements
- Ability to approach the role as a trusted teammate with a can do and positive attitude
- Ability to manage workload to achieve results

- Experience with quality processes and documentation management in safety critical and highly regulated industries such as transportation, pharmaceutical, food production, etc.
- Technical writing experience
- Operational experience with a large, 24/7 frontline workforce
- Mobility or transportation experience, particularly with a large fleet
- Entrepreneurial experience/ownership mentality or other innovation history
- Enthusiasm for the potential of autonomous driving to move life forward in our cities and improve road safety
