We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Senior Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate is an inquisitive self-starter with a strong passion for diving into data, uncovering insights, and promoting data-driven decision making. You should be eager to tackle challenges, think outside the box, and bring creative solutions to the table.
As a member of the Data Science Chapter, you will work within our agile squads to drive impactful projects and initiatives. Our Agile delivery model promotes a fast-paced, collaborative environment that values continuous learning and innovation. You will have the chance to shape the future of our data initiatives, leveraging the latest technologies and methodologies to push our capabilities to the next level

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:
Craft and execute data-driven solutions to optimise retail promotions, leveraging advanced analytical methods to maximise efficiency and outcomes for stakeholders.
Analysing, interpreting, and connecting complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
Developing data models, algorithms, and statistical methods to solve a variety of business challenges.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Machine Learning Engineering, Data Engineering, and Data Platform groups, to understand business requirements, deliver data-driven solutions, and enhance data capabilities.
Designing and conducting experiments to test hypotheses, validate findings, and ensure rigorous data science execution, covering scoping, building, testing, implementation, maintenance, tracking, and optimisation of predictive models.
Communicating findings and insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring data-driven decisions are well-understood.
Continuously seeking opportunities to improve processes, tools, and methodologies that make our environment or solutions more efficient.
Ensuring the organisation meets regulatory requirements in relation to privacy, data security, and the responsible use of data.

Now let’s talk about you:
5+ years of proven experience in building and optimising a variety of predictive models in commercial environments, preferably with exposure to merchandising, Marketing and consumer behaviour analytics.
Experience in retail/FMCG vertical markets will be highly regarded but not essential
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or Engineering.
Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Microsoft Azure is highly desirable
