So, what’s the role all about? 

NICE Actimize is seeking an experienced Analytics & Data Science Sales Engineer with a strong working knowledge of data science and machine learning capabilities to join our dynamic Pre-Sales team. In this role, you will serve as the technical bridge between our clients and our data science solutions, specializing in creating tailored POCs that demonstrate the effectiveness and value of our financial crime offerings. Your expertise in machine learning applications for combating financial crime will be essential in driving client engagement and sales success.

Function: Provide technical support for Data Science and Analytics required for Proof of Value (POV) engagements and detailed demonstration environments.

Business Support: Provide hand-on support for analytics and Data Science for running POV technology engagements to support global sales campaigns across all product LOBs.

How will you make an impact?

  • POC Development: Lead the design, development, and implementation of customized POCs that specifically address challenges related to financial crime, showcasing how our machine learning solutions can enhance detection and prevention efforts using Machine learning techniques (Supervised , unsupervised ) and  GenAI techniques (LLM and RAG).
  • Technical Pre-Sales Support: Collaborate with the Product Portfolio Pre-Sales team to identify client needs and strategically position POCs to illustrate how our analytics and data science tools can deliver actionable insights.
  • Data Science Demonstrations: Conduct detailed demonstrations that highlight advanced analytical techniques and machine learning models tailored for financial crime detection, including anomaly detection, predictive modeling, and risk assessment.
  • Customization and Configuration: Work closely with clients to tailor POCs to their unique data environments, ensuring effective integration with existing systems and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Feedback and Iteration: Gather client feedback during and after POC implementation to refine solutions and demonstrate our commitment to continuous improvement in addressing financial crime.
  • Collaboration: Partner with product management and engineering teams to relay client insights, identify product enhancements, and facilitate smooth transitions from POCs to full implementations.

Have you got what it takes?

  •  Bachelor’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Over 5 years of experience, including at least 3+ years in sales engineering, technical consulting, or a similar role, with a focus on POC development in data science, particularly in financial crime.
  • Demonstrated expertise in technology environments that apply machine learning for detecting and preventing financial crime.
  • In-depth knowledge of data science methodologies, including machine learning algorithms, anomaly detection, and risk modeling.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail in interpreting and presenting data-driven insights.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, as well as familiarity with SQL for data manipulation.
  • Knowledge of Model deployment cycle is a must. Should have understanding of various package and save model object e.g. Pickle /Containers.
  • Good to have GenAI experience (LLM, RAG and various pretrained Models)
  • Experience with cloud platforms and data technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
