- Provide expert support for IBM MQ and RabbitMQ platforms, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of MQ systems and message brokers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to messaging, including connectivity, performance, and security.
- Monitor and analyze system performance metrics to identify and mitigate potential bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to improve message flow and system reliability.
- Document processes, troubleshooting steps, and best practices related to MQ and RabbitMQ configurations.
- Participate in capacity planning and resource allocation for messaging services.
- Stay current with the latest developments in messaging technologies and related tools.
- Engage in mentoring junior team members on best practices and troubleshooting methodologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience working with IBM MQ and RabbitMQ.
- In-depth knowledge of messaging protocols and patterns.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills in a complex system environment.
- Experience with cloud environments and container orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
NICE TO HAVE:
• Familiarity with scripting and configuration languages such as Ansible, wsadmin, Python, rundeck, etc.
• Experience with Dynatrace or similar monitoring technologies is a plus.
• Familiarity with CI/CD technologies as Jenkins, Git, Github actions, etc.
• Knowledge of IBM Websphere Application Server, Websphere Liberty, IBM Http Server, Weblogic, Tomcat and Rabbit MQ advantageous.
• Experience in containerized environments such as Docker, Openshift, or Kubernetes
