Job Description

As a Data Scientist, Incubation Lab, you will report to the Product Lead, Data Science & Innovation, focusing on developing & scaling cutting-edge marketing analytics solutions to strategic client business problems. You will be joining an innovation & client first culture, where creative thinking and entrepreneurial spirit are championed, fostered, and harnessed into the next-gen features of our evolving marketing analytics platform. You will be responsible for building high-performance models & ML/AI algorithms and ensuring the accuracy & reliability of our platform's insights.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop advanced analytic solutions to cutting-edge client business problems in the world of marketing analytics, leveraging techniques across applied statistics, econometrics, machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and other AI disciplines
  • Deliver actionable insights & consultation to external clients leveraging developed solutions, models, & algorithms
  • Collaborate with software engineering stakeholders to integrate and/or deploy solutions into our marketing analytics platform, ensuring seamless performance and continued innovation-to-product pipeline
  • Continuously evaluate and refine models & algorithms to improve accuracy and efficiency
  • Serve as a primary L2 support resource for escalated issues, bugs, & blockers with deployed models & algorithms
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in marketing science, machine learning, and AI, and work with the Product Lead to identify opportunities to apply them to our platform
  • Foster a culture of innovation and experimentation within the team by serving as a mentor & talent multiplier to peers and juniors on the team

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in a data or decision science field
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, Computer Science, or a related Data Science field; Advanced degree preferred
  • Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of statistical modeling, in both Frequentist and Bayesian frameworks
  • Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of ML/AI algorithms
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python, R, and SQL
  • Experience in working within cloud stacks and with cloud toolkits, namely: AWS, GCP, Azure, Databricks, Jupyter, Airflow, Spark
  • Familiarity with product development tools & apps, namely: Jira, Confluence, Git

Desired Skillsets:

  • Previous experience in the marketing or advertising industry is a plus
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and communication skills
  • Strong sense of urgency and accountability to drive client outcomes  
  • Able to work collaboratively with internal & external teams  
  • Capable of maintaining positive client relationships in complex situations & resolving client issues  
  • Strong logic, deductive reasoning, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills  
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities  

Additional Information

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation of the following range: $73,500 - $110,000. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a Sales-based incentive or performance-based bonus.
