The Chief of Airworthiness is responsible for ensuring that all aircraft operated, maintained, and modified by Ubifly Technologies Pvt Ltd. comply with airworthiness regulations. This role involves overseeing the certification processes, maintaining continuous airworthiness, and managing relationships with regulatory authorities. The Chief of Airworthiness will lead the company to uphold the highest standards of safety, compliance, and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities● Ensure that all company aircraft and related systems meet the required airworthiness standards
● Monitor changes in airworthiness regulations and ensure that the organization’s practices and procedures are updated accordingly.
● Oversee the certification of new aircraft designs, modifications, and repairs, including the preparation and submission of relevant documentation to regulatory authorities.
● Manage the issuance and renewal of Certificates of Airworthiness and Special Flight Permits in coordination with the regulatory authorities.
● Ensure all modifications, repairs, and maintenance activities are approved and certified in compliance with applicable regulations.
● Lead the continuous airworthiness management activities, ensuring that aircraft are maintained in an airworthy condition throughout their operational life.
● Develop and implement procedures for tracking and managing airworthiness directives ,service bulletins, and other mandatory requirements.
● Oversee the preparation of aircraft maintenance programs and ensure they are executed effectively.
● Lead and manage the Airworthiness team, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to ensure the team’s effectiveness and professional growth.
● Coordinate with all stakeholders to ensure airworthiness compliance across all operations.
● Represent the company in meetings and communications with regulatory authorities, industry bodies, and other stakeholders.● Ensure that all airworthiness-related documentation, including compliance records, certification data, and maintenance logs, are accurately maintained and readily accessible.
● Oversee audits and inspections conducted by regulatory authorities, ensuring that the organization is always prepared for compliance verification.
● Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the organization, ensuring that airworthiness and safety are prioritized in all operations.
● Participate in accident and incident investigations, providing expertise on airworthiness issues and contributing to root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Must-Have1. In-depth knowledge of CAR 21 airworthiness regulations and standards.
2. Proven track record of managing and leading airworthiness Products
3. Understanding of type certificate process
4. Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead a team of professionals.
5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with regulatory authorities, senior management, and technical teams.
6. High attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
7. >10 years experience in aircraft development and certification.
Good to Have
1. Previous experience working with DGCA.
2.Experience working with eVTOL or drone technologies.
3. Certified in Safety Management Systems (SMS) and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
4. Previous experience with Special Flight Permits and experimental aircraft certification.
