Technology Expertise:
Serve as a subject matter expert for Avamar, Networker, Data Domain, and PPDM, providing guidance on configuration, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
Stay current with advancements in backup and recovery technologies.
System Administration:
Administer and maintain backup and recovery systems, including routine maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting.
Collaborate with IT teams to integrate backup solutions into the overall infrastructure.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
Implement monitoring tools to assess the performance of backup systems.
Generate regular reports on backup performance, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
Documentation and Training:
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for backup and recovery solutions, including configurations, processes, and best practices.
Provide training and knowledge transfer to junior team members and end-users as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
5+ years of experience as a Backup and Recovery Specialist with expertise in Avamar, Networker, Data Domain, and PPDM.
Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-level backup solutions.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Fluency in English and French languages both written and spoken.
