About you

We are looking for someone who 

  • Knowledge of a range of analytics techniques such as data/text mining, feature engineering, forecasting, time series analysis, sentiment analysis, predictive analytics, segmentation/clustering
  • Experience presenting complex analysis to a non-technical audience – written and verbal
  • Knowledge of data warehouse design principles
  • Experience of extracting and manipulating data, e.g. creating SQL Tables and Views
  • Experience using Python, R or similar tools

Role Profile 

  • Support Data Analysts to identify opportunities to use data and analytics (data use cases) to drive improved business performance
  • Assist in validating these use cases, calculating potential returns on investment
  • Assist in breaking down these use cases into smaller releases
  • Execute analysis to deliver prioritised use cases, utilising a range of analytics techniques, data manipulation tools, and internal & external data sources
  • Ensure that benefits are tracked from the use cases delivered
  • Identify opportunities to enhance Riverside’s overall dataset with additional sources
  • Identify opportunities to deploy advanced analytics techniques to the benefit of the group’s customers and business operations
  • Support the data warehouse squad in ensuring that their delivery plan supports prioritised data use cases
  • Supported by the Information Services team, develop your capabilities in analytics, stakeholder management and business knowledge so that you are ready to move into a Data Analyst role
  • Help to raise the whole Information Services team’s understanding of advanced analytics via knowledge share and collaborative working
  • Ensure that all data protection and health & safety requirements are met in accordance with the Group’s policy, procedures and statutory requirements.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Knowledge of a range of analytics techniques such as data/text mining, feature engineering, forecasting, time series analysis, sentiment analysis, predictive analytics, segmentation/clustering
  • Experience presenting complex analysis to a non-technical audience – written and verbal
  • Knowledge of data warehouse design principles
  • Experience of extracting and manipulating data, e.g. creating SQL Tables and Views
  • Experience using Python, R or similar tools
  • Good SQL knowledge
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work accurately under pressure and deliver to strict deadlines


Desirable 

  • Knowledge of machine learning and AI methodologies
  • Experience using visualisation tools - particularly Tableau 
  • Experience of developing statistical models 
  • Knowledge of Project delivery principles
