About Genesys Digital & AI Team

This is an exciting time to be part of Genesys DX Digital & AI Business Unit as we are innovating with speed and scale. You will be a key contributor to create the best cloud-based digital experience (DX) solution focusing on AI and providing an amazing end-to-end experience. As a part of Digital & AI team, you will help us builds Genesys core AI capabilities including Speech Understanding, Natural Language Understanding, and processing, chatbots, voicebots, knowledge surfacing etc., to power the next generation of Genesys products.

About Role

We are looking for problem solvers to help us build next-generation platforms, products, and services. You will work closely with a cross-functional team of developers, researchers and product managers on microservices and event-driven architectures. You will have an opportunity to work as a part of the team that does practical research and contributes to the development of new features, identifies technical risks, and finds alternate solutions to various problems. 

Major Responsibilities/Activities

  • Design and deliver tools to build NLP models for AI Platform Services
  • Work on prototyping proof of concepts and data creation/manipulation for training.
  • Understand ML frameworks (HuggingFace) and extend them for various NLP tasks for fine tuning models
  • Hands on coding for various aspects of benchmarking for AI Platform Services.
  • Collaborate with researchers, other engineers and continuously improve AI Platform Services.
  • Collaborate with other development teams to ensure system performance (latency and accuracy), security, scalability, and availability.

About You

  • 2+ years Industry experience with research and product development.
  • Strong expertise in Python programming and solid understanding of OOPs and software engineering principles.
  • Good understanding of REST API’s. Design and deliver API’s using Flask/Django.
  • Familiarity with modern web application/microservices framework like Spring boot, Node.
  • Ability to work independently and design experiments for benchmarking with end goal in mind, analyze and interpret results.
  • Strong interpersonal and effective communication (both written and verbal) skills and the ability to present complex ideas in a clear & concise way, to different audiences. A team player with good work ethics.

Desirable skills

  • Good understanding of Cloud fundamentals and services, preferably AWS services.
  • Solid understanding and hands on experience on various NLP techniques including data collection and training large datasets
  • Eager to keep abreast with new trends in CX and use of AI for automation.
