We are looking for a AI Engineer - Machine Learning to join us as we build cutting-edge technology solutions!  This is your opportunity to be part of a team that is committed to delivering best in class service to our customers.

We are seeking a Machine Learning (ML) applications generalist with experience across a range of ML/AI algorithms to join our initiative focused on decarbonizing datacenters. This role involves choosing optimal algorithms for various applications, constructing training and inference pipelines using ML tools, and collaborating on the development of new tools.

 Responsibilities:

  • Create and uphold efficient, scalable, and distributed training systems—including data preprocessing, training orchestration, and model assessment—for training large-scale AI models.
  • Enhance the efficiency of training procedures to improve performance and use of resources, while maintaining scalability and dependability.
  • Collaborate with researchers to create training and evaluation pipelines for state-of-the-art algorithms.
  • Develop and design benchmarks for evaluating ML models.
  • Perform training and fine-tuning of foundation models for robotic applications.
  • Monitor and analyze pipelines, identifying bottlenecks and proposing solutions to improve efficiency and performance.
  • Ensure the robustness and reliability of the training infrastructure, including automated testing and continuous integration.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience programming (in multiple programming languages; C, C++, Python and etc.)
  • 2 + years of experience with Machine Learning algorithms (such as: large language models, generative machine learning, Bayesian learning, reinforcement learning, active learning and etc.).
  • 2+ years of experience with a proven ability to write and document code effectively.        
  • A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design
  • Large systems software design and development experience
  • Experience performing in-depth troubleshooting and unit testing with both new and legacy production systems.
  • Experience in programming and experience with problem diagnosis and resolution.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Background in machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
  • Proven experience in working with a variety of ML/AI algorithms, with the ability to determine the best-fit models for different scenarios.
  • Strong skills in building and deploying ML pipelines for training and inference.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft’s ML tools or readiness to learn and adapt quickly,
  • Experience working within large-scale cloud infrastructures or data centers is a plus.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively across teams, fostering a supportive and productive team environment.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication, including technical concepts, with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ambiguity Management: Skilled at navigating uncertainty, making decisions with limited information, and adapting solutions as requirements evolve.
  • Agility and Adaptability: Able to pivot quickly based on new information or shifting project requirements, while maintaining high performance and focus

 Salary Range:

Pay ranges vary based on multiple factors including, without limitation, skill sets, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographical market. The pay range for this position reflects geographic based ranges for Washington state: $152,000 to $160,000 USD/annually. The salary/wage and job title for this opening will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience and may be outside this range.
