About the Role

Revenue Finance provides insight into X’s business using financial analysis built on strong relationships. We engage directly with both senior management and front-line sales to understand the drivers of X’s revenue and how to optimize that revenue. As a member of the Revenue Finance team, you will play a critical role in driving financial strategy and operational efficiency through data-driven insights and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders in Sales, Finance, and across the company to drive revenue optimization.
• Build financial models to analyze complex and ambiguous business issues, including revenue forecasting, market sizing, compensation structures, and product pricing.
• Relate financial performance to advertiser needs, creating compelling cases for action to present to senior sales management.
• Use metrics and analytics to identify growth risks and opportunities, influencing business partners to drive timely decision-making.
• Work with large data sets, synthesize insights, and present actionable recommendations to executives.
• Design and implement reporting tools to support business partners in Sales, Finance, and Operations.
• Create meaningful presentations and analyses that tell a story focused on insights, not just data.
• Streamline processes and increase bandwidth within the Revenue Finance team through automation and outsourcing.
• Collaborate with Sales management, Finance, and Operations Leadership to create revenue growth plans, establish financial and operating targets, and determine optimal resource requirements.
• Draft and communicate policies to facilitate smoother operations and improve decision-making across teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record.
• 5+ years of experience in investment banking, financial services, management consulting, or the tech/internet industry.
• Proficiency in English with effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience writing SQL queries and pulling data from relational databases.
• Experience manipulating complex and large data sets.
• Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets and financial modeling.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across different functions and effectively influence senior business partners.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle competing requests, and thrive in ambiguous situations while adapting to changing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Tableau for data visualization and reporting.
• Knowledge of the digital advertising space or social media industry.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with a personable and approachable demeanor to connect with team members and stakeholders across the business.
• Enthusiasm for tackling complex challenges and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Proven ability to streamline processes through automation or outsourcing to enhance team efficiency.
